About Jack

Jack Althouse, AIA, has been in practice for over twenty years and has over one hundred church projects in his portfolio. In 1990, he started Jack Althouse Architects. Along with Matt Jaffe, he formed Althouse, Jaffe & Associates in 2002. Jack has extensive project experience with churches, schools and custom homes. As Principal, Jack oversees projects throughout all phases of the design and construction process. This includes involvement with and supervision of in-house staff during programming, design, construction document preparation and construction phase administration, as well as interface and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies.

Jack is a licensed architect in many states and has served as Lead Designer and Principal Architect for such notable projects as the San Luis Obispo United Methodist Church (San Luis Obispo, CA), the Delaware County Christian School (Newtown Square, PA), and Univest Bank (Franconia, PA). Jack has a Bachelor of Architecture Degree with Distinction from Penn State University. He also serves on the Upper Frederick Township Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals. He has received National and State awards for architectural design.
